I have been fascinated by the wonders of nature from my earliest moments. That childlike sense of wonder and awe remains with me. I would concur with Leodardo Da Vinci who stated "The smallest feline is a masterpiece." I would add to that statement so also is the humblest of dime store gold fish or pound puppy, each and every creature is a miracle and masterpiece.
Katia Ramirez began studying at the age of 16. She has a strong foundation in drawing and design skills. She is an alumni of the University of Puget Sound and Argosy University.
Her favorite medium is acrylics and colored pencils, which allow for realistic, detailed pieces enriched with color. Her favorite subjects are animals, Koi fish, children, portraits, fantasy art, and florals. She is a psychologist who provides art therapy for special needs parents.
Official Showing:
February 16th, 2012 is the party/showing, and the artist has made Mousai Studios a stop for the February 2012 Art Bus tour the same night!
